Eight individuals are suffering from Hantavirus, with six people confirmed and two cases are probable. Through PCR testing, hantavirus is confirmed. This hantavirus was spread on a ship where 147 passengers were on board when the pandemic was reported. Suspected hantavirus cases are sent to Germany, while other patients are hospitalized in the Netherlands, Switzerland, and South Africa. This ship was moving to the Canary Islands in Spain, and the risk of hantavirus spread is low, but it can spread to passengers or crew on the ship.
