Also, individuals who arrived in the Netherlands from the ship have tested negative. 22 people were identified as close contacts, and 26 people are kept in isolation in France in a hospital. MV Hondius is a rare disease transmitted by rodents. 4 individuals are under observation, while the fifth individual, who is in serious condition and tested positive, is in a French hospital.
22 people were on a Johannesburg to Amsterdam flight, and a Dutch passenger was also taken. The Dutch woman died in a South African hospital. 26 people will be tested three times for safety precautions. Currently, three individuals have died from the Hantavirus, and six individuals are positive. One of the US passengers tested negative but had hantavirus symptoms. The EU said it would share the information related to 27 people to combat hantavirus.
