144 individuals were involved in this study who were taking anti-anxiety tablets along with one of the following four groups:
 
12 minutes of music+ABS: 41 participants
Control groups: 36 people
24 minutes of music listening +ABS group: 33 people
36 minutes of music listening + ABS group: 34 people
 
Listening to Music for Longer Duration Reduces Anxiety
 
The scientists found that a dose-response is associated with your mood and the amount of time individuals listened to music. People who listen to music with the ABS method for 24 minutes have higher chances of anxiety reduction. Individuals who listened to music for 36 minutes noticed a peak effect and a greater reduction in negative feelings. Also, during this study, participants noticed a reduction in feelings like stress and irritability. These people were consuming anxiety tablets and got relief with ABS and music therapy.

Research has few restrictions related to the effects of longevity and its effectiveness as a therapy. This report demonstrates that listening to music for 24 minutes of ABS music will aid to shift your brain into a calm state. Individuals were on medication to treat their anxiety. It is necessary to note that using headphones with quality sound vs. a computer may have different effects on the auditory beat stimulation. So, it is difficult to analyse whether the results are from music or ABS, as a control group with only ABS was not used, says Jesus. Future reports may be strengthened by extending the self-report to include physiological measures to confirm changes that took place in the brain.
