Dharwad-born scientist Kattesh Katti is chosen as the Global Top Innovator of 2026 in the healthcare sector. Dr Kattesh Katti is honoured for pioneering a new term in the medical field called Nano Ayurvedic Medicine. Dr. Katti resides in the United States and is a director at the University of Missouri and professor of Radiology. Dr Kattesh has finished his education from Dharwad and later from IISC, Bangalore. Dr. Katti has made major contributions in the molecular imaging and nanomedicine fields with 150 inventions, 300 publications, and 50 patents.
His major works in green nanotechnology that integrate silver and gold with plant-based compounds to create nanoparticles. Working with Dr.Kavita Katti, he showcased that Ayurvedic plants like clove and cinnamon act as electron and enable the medical nanoparticle synthesis. Kadamba holds the rights of Katti innovations, and these Ayurvedic nano products are used in arthritis and other infections.
